SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: LEFT LANE CRUISER – SHAKE AND BAKE

Left Lane Cruiser

Left Lane Cruiser
Shake And Bake
Alive Records

Left Lane Cruiser’s 11th studio album,Shake and Bake, has everything you’d expect from this raw, gritty, blues-rock duo who made this album like they came to party.

The Mississippi influence is strong, you really get a feel for the whiskey drinking, booze-fueled jam session. The lyrics are difficult to hear over the music, but the album immediately makes you want to grab your buddies and your smokes and hang out all night in the summer air, tearing it up, with no regard to what happens next.

If you need music to road trip to, this is it. The fierce screaming of the guitar while Pete Dio is banging on the drums is just what you need to blast while cruising down a highway going anywhere.

If they tour anywhere near you, cancel your plans and be ready to party, because if you’re not, you’re going to get left behind. Overall, this is a great album, and will not disappoint.

About the Author
Melinda Welsh
Melinda is a music enthusiast from the US who grew up on vinyl in the 70s and 80s. She's a lover of all genres, but rock/metal runs through her veins. Music is always in the background and in her head. Unfortunately, she has to have a "regular 8-5" job since "Professional Concert Go-er" doesn't pay the bills. Her bliss would be to follow more musicians and bands than "People she may know" on social media. Her ultimate long term goal is to be the old lady just enjoying the show down in front at the barricades at live shows. Her favorite quote is "Where words fail, music speaks".
