DESTROYER
DAN’S BOOGIE
MERGE RECORDS

After some 27 years and 20 or so albums, with at least half of those can easily now be classified as classics, and none as a flop, any new Destroyer album is bound to create suspicions of a possible flop among the sceptics.
Oh well, they will be disappointed. Again. Dan Bejar’s latest effort, slyly titled Dan’s Boogie, brings us his latest musical musings, that both musically and lyrically bring us all the key elements that graced Bejar’s music so far, but with Bejar re-shuffling his musical and lyrical cards over and over, with a dozen (or more) new touches that might seem simple but again and again make his music sound new and fresh with always something new to discover.
