Strap in team – Careful! the third album from Deeper, will take you on a hypnotic musical journey that consumes you till the end. With mesmerising guitar riffs, synthetic beats, and haunting vocals, a captivating atmosphere lures you in. Be careful — you might get lost in this one.

The unified talent of Nic Gohl (vocals, guitar), Shiraz Bhatti (drums), Drew McBride (bass) and Kevin Fairbairn (guitar) can only be described as a coalition of forces dominating this junket. Gohl’s vocals are captivating, almost eerie – but as a force, Deeper conveys a sense of vulnerability that enthralls the listener, interrupted by soothing interludes in the form of “Heat Lamp” and “Pilsen 4th”, both refresh the mind. When you arrive at “devil-loc”, you have literally lost time – in the best way possible.

“Pressure”, the closing track, is essential and beautiful, an emotional piece that showcases the album’s common theme of vulnerability. The simple words “Be safe/I need you around” express a deep and genuine connection that resonates with the listener. I can’t pick a favourite song from this collection; however, “Pressure” leaves a lasting impression.
