Some artists go all out on their presence on social media. That rare minority, that includes Brooklyn-based, Italian singer songwriter Alice Bisi who works as Birthh, essentially don’t care. She has a Facebook page, possibly something else, but try to find it if you can.
But then, why would you care? For a very simple reason – her third album, Moonlanded is nothing short of excellent, if not more. It crosses genres with ease, has a fully relaxed atmosphere and often brilliant songwriting and execution that fully deserves the tag of sophisticated pop.
It might not come as a surprise if you realize that Bisi wrote and recorded her first album during her senior high school year (2016), signaling even then that we have a serious talent on our hands.
It is practically impossible to single out a track that lags behind in any way here, picking up elements even from the likes of Steely Dan, without a single misstep.
It just points out that Birthh is a serious talent that is yet to make a real impact.
