SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: MCLUSKY – MY PAIN AND SADNESS IS MORE SAD AND PAINFUL THAN YOURS

MCLUSKY
MY PAIN AND SADNESS IS MORE SAD AND PAINFUL THAN YOURS
BEGGARS BANQUET

mclusky continues to make noise as they reissue their classic 2000 album, My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours. Remastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios and pressed on a crispy 180-gram vinyl record, you can get your hands on a copy starting August 7th.

Fresh off the release of their 2025 comeback album The World Is Still Here And So Are We, a North American tour, and the 2026 EP I Sure Am Getting Sick of This Bowling Alley, it’s not hard to see why this band is living rent free in the heads of noise rock fans this year. For all the new mclusky listeners, this is the album that put them on the map. Featuring songs such as “Rice Is Nice,” “Rock vs. Single Parents,” and “Medium is the Message,” this album influenced noise rock and hardcore music for years to come. Featuring their signature jagged guitar and witty lyrics this LP deserves a much overdue re-listen.
