WILL STRATTON
POINTS OF ORIGIN
RUINATION RECORDS/BELLA UNION

Will Stratton has quite a bit of an album output – eight albums so far, but he can be counted among those artists that don’t just rush to release their music but takes his time to make sure that whatever he puts out is worth both his, and his listeners’ time.
That process seems to have worked quite well for him so far, because all of his albums, including the previous two, Rosewood Almanac from 2017, and The Changing Wilderness from 2021 garnered serious praise from both critics and other artists.
In that respect, expect the same for Points Of Origin, his latest offering, and rightfully so. From the first bars of the opener “I Found You,” it is easy to hear that Stratton hasn’t given up on the meticulous process of carefully crafting each song and its lyrics until they reach something credible and coherent. As much as that process might be painstaking, it is ultimately truly rewarding, as we get music that is really listenable and substantive at the same time.
