Skin Yard has released a limited edition 7×7” vinyl curated box set, Skin Yard Select, with only 1,000 copies from the Seattle proto-grunge band. It includes previously released tracks, alternate versions, remixes and unreleased tracks for anyone with a true grunge appreciation, eager to retrace the steps of a short but critical genre. I truly enjoyed this compilation.

Skin Yard, significant precursors and influence for Grunge (“Burning The Candle” and “No Right”), certainly curated a psychedelic whirlwind of sounds, which the audience can easily get lost in. Skin Yard Select brings together a bit of everything; the limited availability is a disappointment, as it is a true masterpiece for any music enthusiast of the genre.
