Tyler Costolo has been making music since 2017, and it all ranged anywhere between the softer side of slowcore and bedroom pop to something heavier and more experimental.
Ghost Fan Club seems to be his moniker under which he presents his quieter, softer music, starting with an EP (Goodbye World, Hello Ghosts), two singles, and now a self-titled six-song EP.
Here, Costolo picks up where he left off in his slow, bedroom pop mode, with an evident development in his songwriting which he envelops here in a hazed, you can even say ghostly, production to keep up with the theme he sets.
You keep perking up your ears or turning up the volume (or both) to make sure of what is going on here, and it surely is worth the effort, as Costolo comes up with six brief (and not so brief) slices of dark bedroom pop
