LYD MARIE
/LOVE GOES
INDEPENDENT
Lydia Froncek, aka Lyd Marie is one of those artists that seems to never be satisfied standing still. After all, she started her first band at the age of eight, she was a member of Austin, Texas’ all female world folk band, Ley Line, travelled all over the world, then settled for a solo career as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer-songwriter.
The result of the current solo work is a set of albums LOVE COMES/ (2023), and now, /LOVE GOES.
Sure, there just might be a glut of singer-songwriter albums these days, and it might be hard for listeners to sift through all of them to find those in which they will find some musical substance.
The thing though, with Froncek and her latest album is that she has sussed out some of the essential elements of what sounds like great pop-oriented music, touching on everything from Americana to soul and all that constitutes good, solid pop, without essentially citing any other artists in her music.
