Stuck In The Aching Again
Independent
How do you keep up the traditional sound of prime singer songwriters of late 60s and early 70s and at the same time present your music with an individual touch that sets you apart?
Los Angeles singer/songwriter and music educator Andrew Pelletier, aka Fur Trader, is trying to give a (very) good answer to this question through a series of releases, the latest being this exceptional 5-song EP titled Stuck In The Aching Again.
Sure, it has all the hallmarks of the singer songwriters like prime-time Gene Clark or the 90s Elliot Smith, but he brings to the table songs that are embellished with delicate personal touches, including some baroque pop embellishments akin to Sufjan Stevens.
Still, the sum of all of its parts spell βFur Traderβ, and Pelletier definitely deserves more attention and space to present a classic album that he obviously has in him. An exceptional EP.
