THE CRIBS
SELLING A VIBE
PLAY IT AGAIN SAM

Twenty years on the music scene as a band, you are bound to have both ups and downs, and Gary, Ryan and Ross Jarman, trio of brother collectivelly known as The Cribs, have certainly had quite a few of their own. From being hailed as the true carriers of the Britpop tradition into the new century, to legal tangles with their former management.
After all, it took them six years to come with Selling A Vibe, their new (ninth) offering, where in the space between the albums the brothers were even thinking about quitting the whole thing. Yet, luckily, they persevered, keeping both the spirit of their better recordings spiced up by some tight and to the point songwriting and musicianship.
It is all tightened up by production directed by MGMT and Caroline Polachek collaborator PatrickWimberly, who seem to have kept the focus on that high quality pop rock all involved have become known for. It is good and quite heartwarming to have these brothers back.
