SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: THE WHO – WHO ARE YOU (SUPER DELUXE EDITION)

The Who

THE WHO – WHO ARE YOU (SUPER DELUXE EDITION)
POLYDOR

Hey all you Wholigans, your rock legends are back, with the release of the Super Deluxe Edition of The Who — Who Are You on October 31, 2025. Featuring a lineup that includes the legendary Roger Daltrey, the ever-creative Pete Townshend, the thunderous John Entwistle, and the explosive Keith Moon, this fab four defined the ’60s and ’70s, leaving unforgettable chart-toppers and exhilarating performances in their wake.

This new LP was remastered from the 1978 release which was Moon’s last album, and it comes packed with an astonishing 70+ unreleased tracks—oh yes, you read that correctly!

The lead track, “New Song,” brings out the inner rebel in all of us! Townshend himself describes it as poking fun at how rock songs often sound the same.

“Had Enough” showcases Entwistle’s songwriting wizardry with Daltrey’s voice soaring like an eagle, though rumour has it Daltrey wasn’t thrilled about being on the track; guess he was outnumbered.

“Music Must Change” has a quirky little tidbit: Moon couldn’t keep the beat in 6/8 time, so Townshend’s footsteps served as the rhythm for the demo. How is that for creativity!

Are you scratching your head over the cost? Well, discs six and seven feature fantastic live recordings that’ll have you feeling like you’re at a Who concert—minus the flying guitars.

So, if you’re ready to rock, reminisce, and experience the audacious spirit of The Who all over again, prepare to jive into the twilight hours because you have hit the jackpot!
