MADAME PSYCHOSIS – “CRASHING DOWN”
A Spill Exclusive Music Premiere
Toronto-based alt pop band Madame Psychosis is celebrating their showcase at Canadian Music Week with the release of “Crashing Down”, a soaring new single off of the band’s upcoming sophomore album. In “Crashing Down”, lead singer Michelle Mondesir’s delicate and graceful vocals develop with each verse, rising in power and command during the guitar-driven chorus. The band follows suit, seamlessly transitioning between the bright melody that makes up the verse and the darker, heavier tones that characterize the chorus. The result is a song that takes the listener on a poetic journey, ending with a dynamic solo that punctuates the nearly 5-minute epic. “Crashing Down” is the five-piece band’s second release of 2019, and premieres with Spill today.
Artist Quote
“‘Crashing Down'” highlights the inevitability of life’s ups and downs. We tried to capture this in the song by moving from a melodic, dreamscape type of verse to a darker, more explosive chorus. It’s really a reflection of a good day gone wrong in a blink of an eye and how unpredictable this can be.” ~Madame Psychosis
