WINFIELD
III
BROKEN SOUND TAPES

Winfield’s III features skilled lead vocals that exhibit considerable talent and precision, perhaps a little too polished for some. They have a synth-pop angelic smoothness, like a menthol cigarette. Sadly, they left me indifferent.
I rate the instrumentals, which move in and out of genres. I’m unsure what you’ll get with them, but they are a multilateral change-up catering to a diverse crowd. “Static” is favoured for its instrumentals. It’s simply a delightful journey.
Would I add this to my gym playlist? Probably not. Would I watch Winfield at the club? 100%. This music offers a bit of synth fuzziness that makes the backdrop melt away. Do I feel like conquering the world? Not at all. It’s a kind of sleepy tranquility.
