MARGO PRICE
HARD HEADED WOMAN
LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS

Margo Price has always been an artist whose audience didn’t care much what genre her music fell into, and yes, it more often than not falls within that often too strictly defined one that goes under the name of country music.
And yes, Hard Headed Woman, her latest one, can fit snuggly there. The question though here that begs to be answered is … does it matter? The answer is most probably the same with the greats of the genre that were able to cross over the sometimes too strict genre boundaries, for example Johnny Cash or Dolly Parton – it doesn’t.
Simply put, Price is too good a songwriter, lyricist, and singer for her quality to be bogged down by something so restricting as a genre, and that is oh so evident on this album where she takes cues from the likes of Bob Dylan and Kris Kristofferson among others, and then gives it all something that could easily be dubbed as a Margo Price touch. Excellent, again.
